The following is the message that was sent to Mars Area School District parents a few minutes ago: This message is to inform you that Mars Area High School students have been safely evacuated to Mars Area Middle School as a precautionary measure, while local fire department officials investigate the cause of smoke in the building. The students will be held at the middle school until it is deemed safe to return to the high school or the students will be dismissed from the middle school at the end of the day. Mars Area School District is working closely with fire officials to resolve this issue, which is isolated to Mars Area High School. No other schools are affected.
