The following letter is from Jorges wife. Thank you Pam for your kind words and invitation at this devastating time. Our hearts are with you and your family. 5th December 2014 Jorge was a big hearted and passionate character sometimes appearing formidable from the outside but very sensitive, artistic, protective, hardworking and proud. Words can not explain how devastated I am at the loss of my dearest Jorge. Its an incredibly difficult time for not only me but all of his family and his friends. We became aware on the day of the accident and these last days since just how tough this has also been for you his colleagues and mates. We offer our sympathy to you for your loss. We would like to thank you so much for the generous donations of money from so many of you to help with the arrangements to come. We are very touched and humbled at your generosity and we all know Jorge would have been too. Well if not humbled most certainly proud, it is Jorge we are talking about after all! We sincerely ask that you take care of yourselves and each other when you are here at work, particularly in the coming months there is simply too much to lose to do otherwise. There will be a funeral for Jorge Tuesday 9th December, 3pm Centennial Park followed by a casual gathering nearby from 5pm. We would like to let you know that if you knew Jorge well or just met him once or maybe not at all but want to pay your respects to ‘Jorge the man’ then you are welcome at his funeral.
