The following message was sent to us by a Springbok Club supporter now based in New Zealand. The gentleman in question is certainly no right-wing extremist, and indeed is probably relatively liberal by nature, so his observations are therefore even more dynamic and telling :- During my 13 years in NZ I have spoken to a lot of South Africans and am surprised how little they knew of what went on in the old days in SA. They must have lived with blinkers on and know very little of the actions of the ANC. I worked for the Durban Corporation Telephone Department during the 1950s until 1960. Because I am not a racist I got on very well with my Black worker Johannes, one day he disappeared, after several months his wife came to collect his payout, I asked her if she knew what happened to Johannes, she replied, he was killed by the ANC because he refused to join them. This was repeated a year later to another worker, namely Petrus, I lost 2 friends and then on the 30 October 2003 11 years ago I lost my own brother outside his farm to the ANC. I am 75 now and the truth needs to be told about Mandela and his ANC. There are many many more stories, I will never forget the story I told you about the day in July 1964 when I had the fortune to miss the bomb blast on Johannesburg Station. https://youtube/watch?v=jK5gxux1FE0
