The following poem was written as a heartfelt cry of solidarity with the Believers in Iraq, who are at this time undergoing great trial and persecution. Share it enough and maybe they may hear of our support and be encouraged! Brothers in a desert land and sisters, Failed to see have we the measure of your toil. Darkness light doth always spoil. While there may be no comfort midst your plight, a massacre, the bullies fight, find beauty in your Hope that one day soon the dawn will break and put the night to flight. No comfort can I give you save you already own, no peace besides the River, Strong Tower enthroned, the solace of a Savior, the Power of our King. What hold is there for darkness so long as you still sing? Sing loud the song of victory above the battles cry! For mourning lasts till morning, but at His word must fly! It flies away to lands unknown; to barrenness and death. Its company still may besiege you, but in the end lacks breath. So strengthen now your spirits Song, for you aroma rises to King, his temple and his altar. Bitterly He hears. Until one day, when sing together well on the Kingdoms shore, A brother and a friend is here weeping with you more.
