The following post is the rules for the 2014 Dist 14 Point Series Series Directors: Dennis Wright- Scale & Sport 40 Aaron Johnson- Sport 20, RTR, B Sport Tunnel, Classic Thunder 2014 I.M.P.B.A. District 14 High-Point Championship Series General: 1. Any I.M.P.B.A. sanctioned event within the geographical boundary of District 14 is eligible to be designated as a High-Point Championship Series event. 2. An event outside of the district boundary may be eligible if: a. The host club is from District 14. b. The venue is within a neighboring district. c. The event has significant participation from District 14 members. 3. A host club must request to have an event designated as a District 14 High-Point Championship Series event. 4. The district director and district class director(s) shall approve or disapprove all requests. 5. I.M.P.B.A. International Regatta is not an eligible event. 6. I.M.P.B.A. Nitro Nats is not an eligible event. 7. All High-Point Championship Series classes are not required to be offered. 8. Host club must provide all points to the district class director(s) within 2 days following an event. 1/8 Scale Hydroplanes: 1. All 1/8 Scale hydroplanes must be registered within the owner’s district in order to compete in any District 14 events. 2. All boats competing in the District 14 High-Point Championship Series must be registered with the District 14 scale director. 3. Registration shall be $10.00 per boat for the season. 4. Registration for boats within D14 shall include the owners name, address, phone number, email address and IMPBA number. Registration must include a photo of the full size boat that represents the year and paint scheme used for the scale model. Photo may be a hard copy, digital file or a valid link to an online photo. 5. Photo documentation is not required for boats from other districts. 6. All hulls must conform to I.M.P.B.A. boat specifications for the 1/8 Scale class. 7. All engines must conform to I.M.P.B.A. engine specifications for the 1/8 Scale class. 8. All I.M.P.B.A. contest and racing rules apply. 9. Points received from all points races will count toward a boat’s point total. 10. Points shall not be awarded to any boat that has not yet been registered with the series. No points shall be accrued on a retro basis. 11. Points are not transferable with ownership changes. 12. Final standings will be based on total accumulated points from all High-Point Championship Series events. 13. Trophies for first, second and third places, along with the travelling trophy, will be awarded during the trophy presentation of the last point race of the season. RTR, Sport 20, Sport 40, B Sport Tunnel, Classic Thunder 1. All drivers must register with the D14 class director to be eligible for the District 14 High-Point Championship Series. 2. Registration shall be $10.00 per driver for the season. 3. Registration shall include the driver’s name, address, phone number, email address and IMPBA number. 4. Only one boat may compete per registrant per event. However, you may use any number of hulls throughout the series as this is a driver’s championship. 5. All hulls must conform to I.M.P.B.A. Boat Specifications for the specific class entered. 6. All engines shall conform to I.M.P.B.A. Engine Specifications for the specific class entered. 7. All I.M.P.B.A. contest and racing rules apply. 8. Points from all heats shall be added to series point totals when racing standard points format. 9. When racing scale format, all points shall be added to the series total with the exception of any consolation heats. Final heat points will count toward the series points. 10. When racing shoot-out format, all points shall be added to the series total. 11. Points shall not be awarded to any driver who has not yet registered with the series. No points shall be accrued on a retro basis. 12. Final standings will be based on total accumulated points from all High-Point Championship Series events. 13.
