The following was on the Toad Holly Pub Facebook this morning: I, as so many humans are, am fallible, and have fallen to disgrace, and I am very ashamed at what I have done to the residents of Tillson!!!!!! I am extending a true apology to all of you!!! what was posted was ignorant, discourteous, disrespectful and hurtful. I should have realized through conversations with many of my employees and customers, how proud all of you are about your community and the closeness that many of your families share. You have a community, that if one where baking cookies and you ran out of sugar not only could you go next door to get a cup, but probably and most certainly five doors down and get that cup of sugar two pounds of flower and a stick of butter. I only wish that I had come from that sort of community. As to the story of a very long time ago on a cold and damp winter morning, when a bus broke down in front of my restaurant, instead of creating new relationships with potential new customers and offering hot coffee and a warm place to wait, I offered you vinegar instead, I was inexperienced and only thought of my insurance liability, how stupid of me and unwelcoming of me!!! Please do not take out any anger you have on my employees they were not responsible for the content of the negative post, I alone accept and bare the sole responsibility and disgrace for my actions. For those of you who are willing to accept my apology please share this post, I do very truly apologize to all of Tillson!!!
