The fourth characteristic that must be present in a form of worship is: how it is performed! The way we worship Allah is very important. It is not sufficient to just pray or fast. It must be done as the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam instructed us to do it. Therefore, if a person decides to prostrate before making ruku, his prayer is invalid. If he washes his feet before washing his face in wudhu, this is unacceptable. If one goes in tawaf clockwise, leaving the kaabah to his right, his tawaf is invalid. For every ritual or a form of worship, there is a way that must be followed in doing it. This is one of the greatest benefits of following the Sunnah of our Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam; you worship Allah with knowledge and as He prescribed -Sheikh Assim Alhakeem-
