We must believe in ourselves, in our vision, in our stories, in our voice. We must believe in our own ambitions! It takes faith, courage, stubbornness to be a writer. I salute all the indie writers on this page, all those brave souls making themselves into the writers of their dreams. Indie writers --- all writers -- you are welcome here. All artists, creative people, dreamers are welcome here. Tonight, I feel especially grateful that Ive been able to fulfill so many of my dreams. I wanted to be a writer when I was five years old! I wrote my first novel in the fifth grade. Divine discontent never really gives me much peace; when I open my eyes in the morning I look into the abyss. But gratitude underscores all.
