The future leaders of Tomorrow. For once lets forget about being useful idiots of various politicians we affiliates ourselves to. How much preparation are you the Youths doing to be part of the Leaders that will being elected in 2016? One thing you ought to know building great leaders requires hard work from parents, educators, teachers, counsellors, religious-leaders, elder siblings, and community leaders. Instead of allowing the disheartening realities surrounding you to wallow in despair, you should focus on ways in which we can foster distinguished leaders. The biggest problem we faces in building righteous leaders is a lack of unified vision and mission. The leader must have a vision and stimulate people to make it their vision too. In this way, his team should be motivated to be a part of something inspirational. Together, they must be able to think big and help the community see the vast picture toward which they are working. Bane lets not cheat ourselves, our African nations are still far from elections and politics not influenced by financial muscle. Of course money cannot buy you power, you need to sell your values, principles and ideologies too. Even PF and other political parties that claim and accuse MMD of having bribed voters in 2011 equally did the same not just at the scale of MMD. Yes we must push to move towards issued based politics as Leadership is about understanding people and involving them to help you do a job. That takes all of the good characteristics, like integrity, dedication of purpose, selflessness, knowledge, skill, implacability, as well as determination not to accept failure.” [Admiral Arleigh A. Burke]. We need to have programs to help us implement leadership. The program should be geared towards educating parents, teachers, and community leaders about leadership skills. Nurturing ourselves to become potentially great leaders is not a very difficult task so long as each one of us does our part fully. We need to make time to educate ourselves, and then apply the material in our lives, and teach it . The biggest problems that many of us face is first taking the time out to learn it ourselves, and then the challenge of teaching it. Once we are able to work on ourselves and manage our time, then it is time to give back, Lastly, So my question to you is how are you managing and utilising your time now? Are you advancing any project however small to generate you some spare income that you can use for campaigns even to stand as a councillor? I think 2016 majority youths should aim to stand as councillors or members of parliament. Yet my advice to you is start preparing both financially and doing voluntarily community services in your area now. Set aside money to use for campaigns not to later sell property unless you have more than one or use the only money you have come 2016. Know a lot of mambalas across all political now who are members of parliament and councillors will have gratuities and stolen money to bribe voters, but dont feel defeated. Reason you need to start now working with people in your community so that they differiate you from the current thieves. Plan now for them to know you mean well and are genuine. I plan to be with you in Zambia next year so that will have a full year to decide whether will stand as a councillor then go for mayoress, MP or just as a campaign manager for those I support. This preparation step is vital to you the youth and inspiring leaders. Always remember great leaders know how to manage their time really well. Good luck.
