The girls and I have an very early volunteer gig Sunday morning as we will be manning a cheer station at the Atlanta Marathon for my organization- CVI- the Center for the Visually Impaired. The track club selects non profits to adopt a mile in the marathon and in return we receive a nice donation. Informing them we will be leaving the house around 5:45 am, youngest child says What? that is too early, is it still considered volunteering if you are forced to do it? Me- Yep, it is good for you. That is what happens when your mom has spent her career in non-profit, lots of volunteer time.!
