The goal of LakePointe is to help shape and mould fully devoted followers of Jesus. One of the ways we grow is by studying Gods Word. We are inviting you each day during the month of May to read through 1 Samuel with us. We will post a devotion each day for the chapter that corresponds with the day of the month. Yesterday was May 1st and we read chapter 1 from 1 Samuel. We will use the S.O.A.P. method for the devotion each day. (S=Scripture verses read, O=Observation from it, A=Application for life, P=Prayer) Here is yesterdays devotion from 1 Samuel Chapter 1: S: So I have also dedicated him to the Lord; as long as he lives he is dedicated to the Lord. And he worshiped the Lord there. (1 Samuel 1:28 NASB) O: More than anything, Hannah wanted a child. Shes given a child & she gives him(what she wanted most) to God. A: Am I willing to give back to God the things I desire? Am I willing to acknowledge that all I have is a gift from Him in the first place? P: Father, you have given beyond measure. All I have is yours. Teach me how to use these gifts to your glory. Amen.
