The goldenest piece of training advice is this: If somethings weak, strengthen it. It is also the most often ignored. People strengthen their strengths, and ignore their weakness totally. People who are naturally strong do heavy lifting. People are who built for endurance run marathons. Yogis do Yoga and powerlifters powerlift. But it should be the other way around. Powerlifters should do yoga, and yogis should powerlift. Endurance athletes need more heavy lifting, and most strength guys would benefit immensely from straight cardiovascular activity every now and then. If you can squat 500lbs but not bend over and touch your toes thats a problem. If you can run a marathon but not do five pull ups thats equally a problem. If you can do five pull ups but not run a mile without it being a very tiresome struggle, thats sad. A good exercise program doesnt play on your strengths without bringing up your weaknesses first. If somethings weak, strengthen it. - = + - Pat
