The good news and reality!! The good news is after four months my doctor gave me the OK to stop taking the blood thinners. That is realy quite remarkable as some people never get off the blood thinners. Also, I believe I am having a remarkable recovery. The reality is... RECOVERY IS SLOW I still get very tired and fatigued easily. I am however usually able make it through a work day and that is all I can do for the day. I am still pacing my activities, if I take a short walk I know I will be exhausted and it will take me 3/4 days to recover. However, it is just so beautiful down here, it is worth it and it used to be 5/6 days of recovery. I know the 3/4 days will turn into 2/3 days then 1/2 days. The good news is I will now venture out for that walk, even with the boot. I am just laughing when I say activities, by activites I mean doing things around the house, like dishes, laundry etc. This is where it is great to have someone come in a clean for me. I still have days where I sleep 10 to 13 hours. I am getting better at faking feeling better than I really do. I am so thankful that I am having a great recovery as many more people dont recover. I just wanted to share my good news and my little by little progress. Everyday I am counting my blessings and focusing on what I can do and what I have done; where as at the beginning I was focusing on what I couldnt do and didnt get done. I have managed to start something new, which I will talk about later and doesnt take physical effort. It has been good as it gives me something positive to focus on. Thank You again for all your support. Living down here in the canyon it is nice to have FB friends. (PS March 21st, I go back for xrays on my foot and wrist.)
