The grates hero of this unprecedented search for the modern Boing 777 from Malaysian Airlines (MH370) that disappeared more than 22 days ago is a 1959 airplane, despite all the advancements in technology we have today. Hats off to this marvelous airplane. The Lockheed P-3 Orion, a variation off the unforgettable Lockheed L-188 Electra (1957), is the airplane that is searching for the Boing 777 with the information received by state of the art Satellites. What a paradox. There are seven of them, from four different countries, flying non-stop at this moment searching for the Boeing 777. As I was lucky enough to fly the L-188 Electra many, many times between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, I can almost feel the sensation (and hear the sound) the rescue teams aboard these planes are experiencing right now.
