The great folks that came together as one to assure the Trimble Tomcats football team would play their first playoff game on their home field (Glouster Stadium) need to be applauded from all across the state! Long story short, the playing surface was a total mess from previous weeks rains and wear and it was very doubtful it could be playable by last Friday. However, dozens of local citizens and businesses donated tarps, sheets of plastic, endless hours of volunteer labor, money, and whatever was available, to get the field in playing shape.....and it worked!!! The Trimble School District suffers from severe financial difficulties that people in most areas would find unbelievable. But, the Tomcat Spirit is a rich as any school district. Oh, by the way.....the unbeatenTomcats won the game, 55-6, to advance to round two of the playoffs!
