The greatest challenge I highly suspect that one of the toughest callings in life, is that of Leadership. I say Leadership because though simply defined as the ability to influence, if one dared scratch beneath the surface, they’ll meet components of it, such as decision making, delegation, change management, strategic planning, adaptation, mobilization, implementation, foresight and pursuit of goals. Now, I think the core in all these is Responsibility. A leader cannot not take Responsibility. And it doesn’t matter whether one is a leader with a title or without one. We all, at one point or another, get called upon to unleash the leader within – whether at a personal level, family level, community, institutional, national or even at the global level. Furthermore, espousing values of great leaders: character, commitment, courage, compassion, conviction, and competence, is no mean task. It requires a lot of sacrifices at a personal level; and only God’s Grace can carry one through. I salute you all leaders out there! Stay the course
