The greatest experts I’ve come across - in every aspect of life - are the ones who use these three words on a very regular basis… “I don’t know”. But that kind of authentic expertise seems to be in such short supply these days. While speaking in Europe this past weekend, I made strong reference to just how powerful the concept of ‘Influence’ can be. And how aware of it we all must become. There is no intended cynicism attached to my message today. I don’t believe that social media is evil, that those more successful than yourself have all the answers you need or that the only way to get ahead is to follow the blueprint of what’s been done already. But I do see the influences of those things playing on your mind and energy. And so I ask you to simply consider this….. Loudness should never be confused with confidence. Conviction, mistaken for truth. Or commonplace, assumed to be your only option. Learn to trust your inner stillness. Embrace what you do not know. And find favor in your own path. In my life, whenever I think I have all the answers, I remember that my real obligation is to ask better questions. And in that humility, I’m reminded that my purpose is not to tell you what to do…. …. But help you unlock the fact that you already know. P.S. - If so moved, please SHARE this message...
