The greatest irony of the Bellichick era?What would that be? In my opinion its that one of the few things that have not worked out well for Bellichick in his 14 years running the Patriots has been his drafting of wide recievers.About the only thing his wide reciever picks have in common is that they have for the most part except Deon Branch all have been busts. So who is the greatest reciever Bellichick ever drafted? A lightly regarded player from Kent State who played quarterback in college and was drafted in the seventh round named Julian Edelman. So all the big fast recievers with blazing speed and great numbers in College fell by the wayside and it was a seventh round draft choice, Julian Edelman who is the best reciever Bellichick ever drafted.
