The hand knitted garment for a young girl was inspired by this blog: purlbee/2014/05/29/mollys-sketchbook-sweet-crochet-and-sew-dress/ I was away from my sewing machine for a few days and wanted to do some knitting in the car and free time. I started with a pair of baby booties which lets just say they didnt look like baby booties when I was done lol So I found this blog and loved the idea. I made the top of my dress a little different than in the blog. I just love the look of hand knitting and fabric. Also a wonderful lady Norma Jean, who is my moms aunt had given my mom and I a mini lesson on crochet trims over the holiday break. I though it would add a little ornate look to the dress along with the hand knitting. I am very happy with how this dress came out and would like to make more in the future. I have done a lot of looking around online and this dress is for sure unique and one of a kind. #sew4the1
