The hateful hate-i-ness of Ezra Levants latest media stunt should outrage us all. First, he makes up, pretty much out of whole cloth, a fake story alleging that Muslim parents in the Windsor area were refusing to let their kids take part in Remembrance Day observances. Which was, really, a lie. Then, he rise to whip up an online pogrom against Muslim Canadians, with a website called Love it Or Leave which is selling Love it or Leave T-shirts. Then, when other journalists at the CBC and the Globe and Mail and The National Post tried to publish the real story, he accuses them of being part of a Media Party conspiracy against him. In many ways, I dont like giving this overgrown toddler any more press, since his digital tantrums are designed, precisely, to goad us into paying attention to him. But I have to say, as a person of some Jewish descent myself, Im sickened that Ezra could engage in this kind of hate mongering, which is simply anti-Semitism of a different kind. Goebbels would be proud. The rest of us, as Canadians, should be mortified.
