The heart and the mind are dangerous when both are not aligned. They will play tricks on you that are often very unkind. Forget that others may be hurting and its not just about you. Cloud our decisions and judgements, reason never getting through. It has to be this way or nothing, anything else would hurt too much. But maybe they need me just a little bit, just a little touch. Its easy to pass the blame but never to admit, The fault my be mine, even just a little bit. As I find a new normal, a new routine and all, It gets easier and easier to pick myself up after my fall. It seems like the end of the world, and nothing will ever be the same, That might be true, but that doesnt change that Im a player of the game. Each heartbreak breaks different than the time before. Because I lowered my guard and love was ready to settle the score. Love is a game but if its not played just right, You could be just like me, a casualty of love and alone every night.
