The heart mourns as I reflect on the memories I have of a dear friend who passed on Tuesday. I had the honor and privilege to make acquaintance with Malcolm Lyons about 18 months ago. A hearty and vital youngster of 96 at that time, I spent countless hours with Malcolm as he reminisced stories of his youth, many of which included some yahoo moments with my namesake and great grandfather, Raymond Thompson. I learned many valuable lessons through Malcolm, most of which was to love life unconditionally. Malcolm shook the hand of FDR as a youngster and the loss of a great man, who I truly loved, admired and hope to continue to make proud even now, has shook me to the core. I love you Malcolm, RIP dear friend. Peace to you all ...... if you can ..... you should ...... if not you ..... then who?????/
