The highlight of 2014 for me was the production of THE SEED SOWN. The 2200 seats at the AFC were filled almost to capacity and over 30 people came to the altar for prayer and to give their lives to Christ. I entered this year with Great Expectation and I was so excited about it. But 19 days into 2014 that all changed. My baby brother, Sean Stinson expectantly passed away in his sleep. The cast of THE SEED SOWN surrounded me with so much prayer. I mean they were there for me, like family. We did an awesome performance on Sunday, March 23. The next day, I’d lose another brother, Scholar. What’s happening to my year? Like I said, I came into this year with great expectation but not knowing what to expect. All year long I’ve been asking people to pray for me and with me. I’ve had to deal with things I’d swept under the rug. Well you can only sweep so much under a rug before it gets noticeably lumpy and you trip over it. This has been a hard year for me but yet in so many more ways it was I was very successful. The last Sunday of 2014 my pastor told us to ask God for a word for 2015, once again I got “Great Expectations”. I’ve decided to be thankful for the battles, rejoice my victories of 2014 and enter into 2015 free of fear of the unknown. I embrace God is my source, my strength, my protection.
