The holiday of Shavuot (Pentecost) is often referred to as the marriage between God and His people and the promise that He made to the Jewish people, forever. Today in synagogue, we passed His holy words on to the next generation as all of the children stood under a big prayer shawl and listened to the Torah reading of the 10 commandments. As my children listened intently to these holy words, I felt God smiling down and confirming His joy in how Im raising my kids: if you dont know where you came from, you dont know where youre going. We came back from synagogue to our home decorated with flowers at every turn...my husband prepared this surprise so that we could really feel the wedding spirit between us and God. Mazal tov! Happy Shavuot!
