The idea of humans being able to construct a machine that would enable them to travel faster than light is science fiction. It isnt any more. In 1900 The scientist Max Planck made a dazzling discovery, that was named Planks Constant., and is written ash. This number expresses new ways to look at energy. Planck developed the theory that energy was emitted in a series of quanta or packets. These were infinitely small but nevertheless observable. Planck had discovered that nature is fundamentally discontinuous . That all movement in nature is a series of microscopically small jumps -quantum leaps-. This discovery gave birth to a new branch of science,Quantum Mechanics, that introduced us to a reality outside the human scale of perception. We know that nature can not Sub-divide h,this means amongst other stuff ,that when an electron acquires enough energy, it will move from one orbit to another. In fact it does NOT move at all. It simply disappears,and reappears in the next. No journey has been made, but it has taken place . In Omega 2060, how this takes place is discovered and used to build a propulsion unit, that will transport people faster than light, Without harnessing Plancks discovery ,space travel to the stars will remain an impossibility
