The in-law relationship is one of the most complex relationships in the family dynamic. It is often strained and contentious. So, why is it difficult for us to accept our loved ones choice of partner? Is it because we do not trust their judgement, or ability to choose the right person for themselves ? Why is this the one area in the lives of our family members where we feel the need to voice our opinions? Is it any of our business who someone we love chooses to lay down, and have children with?
