The inquest into the slaying of Oscar Perez-Giron starts January - TopicsExpress

The inquest into the slaying of Oscar Perez-Giron starts January 8, at 1PM, in Room E338, King County Courthouse, 516 Third Avenue, Seattle. Judge Arther R. Chapman, District Court Case # 514 IQ 0693. Come, bear witness, support the loved ones of Oscar, and demand justice for Oscar! On June 30, 2014, at the SODO light rail station (near the the football stadium) in Seattle, Oscar Perez Giron, 23, was shot to death by King County Sheriff Deputy Malcolm Elliott over a $2.50 train fare. The public security camera footage was grabbed by police, who refused to release it to the public until they had enhanced it. Shown here is what is reported to be the ORIGINAL security camera footage, before the police worked on it. Police are caught lying all the time, we have no reason to believe them. What did they do to this original video before releasing it? Friends say they have reason to believe Oscar was not armed, and also that detectives have told them conflicting versions of what happened. Many come here because the US has destroyed the economies of their home country, and once here are kept poor, exploited, and without rights. This condition is enforced by the risk of being deported for any offense. Being able to move about on transportation is a big risk and a cost. Something people need to know is that at an inquest into a police killing, the jury is not asked yes or no was the killing right. Instead, the jury must answer a series of questions, and these are framed to try and get the cops off. The judge has final call on what these questions will be. We urge all who can to be there, bear witness, support the loved ones of Oscar, and demand justice for Oscar!
