The international community is responsible for the massacre which has taken place yesterday in Laythi in Benghazi and for the bloodshed in Libya in the last three months. Not implementing SCR 2174 and using it as a political card to get political stakeholders (better yet brokers of power) to the table of negotiations, has indeed contributed to the increase of bloodshed in Libya. SCR 2174 clearly states the principle of no immunity to war lords who have committed war crimes and who have rejected the cease of fire. In so doing it gives the message to war lords that their war crimes will be overlooked and in fact they are allowed to make more political gains until the dialogue or the peace talks takes place. The UN mission mandate is to monitor the political process which obviously has failed. The UN missions duty is hand in the names of war lords who are responsible for war crimes. It is NOT in the UN missions mandate to manipulate and obstruct the implementation Security Council Resolutions while the Libyan bloodshed continues by the day!
