The internet and the computer changed the face of music forever, we can record our songs cheap we can sell our music at low prices, book shows etc but for all that liberation the fat cats still prowl and are fighting for new ways of bringing in the disgusting profit margins they want to control the internet in turn they want to control you, on the diy front things can be bad because people still want music for free and when diy music is downloaded for free (in essence its stolen) it hurts the small scene and makes it harder for the little guy to survive and keep producing a good product ie songs for your entertainment so basically we are saying think before you download and distribute.. Small bands dont make money they just cover their expences and most of them dont even do that it comes out of their own pockets. being in a band is about entertaining (hopefully) like minded people, getting your thoughts and feelings out there, its about passion and pride the payback is when you get feedback and people respond by supporting you turning out to see you play buying a CD or a shirt, patch, badge etc giving us the opportunity to travel and play to other nationalities other parts of our own country getting the opportunity to meet new people and make friends thats why we love doing what we do so thanks for supporting this small scene and a massive thank you to those who give Billyclub support cos we want to keep doing this thing we do.
