The irony here... Is that this speech just pointed out all the problems with this country... And youre all saying things that are completely different. You continue to circumvent the actual issue and continue to find scapegoats to blame your problems on. Earth to America: We are a country whose people are not governed by the government, rather whose government is governed by the people. Change... The solution to our problems... They dont start with Capital Hill, the congress, Wall Street, or the White House. You need to understand, change... Solutions... They start with us, the people, who elect representatives to work in our best interests... If people could drop the ignorance of the debates between Democrat or Republican, just accept one another, and even look to candidates from the other parties, perhaps then we could find the changes and solutions that we crave. Perhaps this country could be great once again. But not like this. We continue on a path of discrimination and fear of those whos ideologies are different, core-shaking... That we shun them and never give them a chance. One example is the failed campaigns of Ron Paul, who was actually able to predict the dip in the economy years before it occurred, yet, no one actually voted for him. Despite the fact that he may have been one of the changes for the better that we needed. Thats just an idea. But my point stands firm. The first step to solving a problem may be recognizing there is one, but the second step is to change your mindset so that there is a feasible way to solve it.
