The key is you and your fellow conservatives attending your local Republican Party committee meeting every month (that takes about two hours a month) where you can learn how to become a voting member of the Party--a precinct committeeman. Do you think this strategy doesnt work, that giving a few hours of your time wouldnt make a difference. Im living proof that it does work. I went for three nights, an hour each time, working a phone bank in order to get Andy Vidak elected as Senator in CA. California is now a mere two seats away from taking the super majority in the Senate away from the Democrats. Yes, I feel like what I did made a difference. Andy Vidaks win marks the first time in the history of the California State Senate since 1996 in which the winning candidate of a special election was not from the same party as the outgoing State Senator. It is also the first time that a Republican took a previously Democratic seat since 1993, and the 8th time overall in the history of State Senate special elections that this has occurred. It also marks the first time that the 16th district has seen a Republican State Senator in 19 years, since Phil Wyman in 1994. Dont just sit at home and complain.
