The key parable of the sower is repeated in full in Mk 4, Lk 8 and Mt 13. Its the key to all the other parables. Its the key to who we are. Its the key to faith. The Lord showed it to me about the faith fanatics. The faith fanatics have a point but they dont recognise we have problems, trials and tribs, difficulties and opposition. I call them cloud niners. They try to say you are not sick when you are. Its the ultimate form of positive thinking. So they run around using faith and spiritual principles to draw many followers after them. We who know Jesus know that we must know Jesus in our daily life so we point others to Jesus and the Word of God. From Jesus and the Word of God everything else flows. Our life will take shape in Gods image, being conformed to Christ by the word of God. When we learn this we discover spiritual life looks a lot different to the norm, to the uninitiated we look like hopeless cases. They dont know Gods will but we will know in our daily life what Gods will is and I can tell you its a heck of a lot different to what the mainstream think. Most of it is unseen work. But when we know Gods will and follow Jesus we start to see how He is using us. We could be encouraging families who have children who see and hear, who start living differently ever so slowly, who start making decisions and choices that will keep them from the wiles of the enemy. God uses us more than we think; the butterfly effect at work. Thats why I bang on about the seeds, the seeds begin to operate like the butterfly effect. One little seed in a heart may not come to fruition for 40 years. Thats exactly what happened in China. Missionaries sewed seeds tirelessly for decades, possibly centuries, in China which has created a hurricane of spiritual fruit to where now there are more christians in China than England. In fact the whole of Asia is turning to Christianity. They are sick of poverty. As was Europe in the 19th century. Spiritual darkness will bring about poverty faster than you can say jack flinn or whatever. Soon they will have to learn to choose between the cares and riches as we have to learn too, as did the Jews down through the millenia thru all their ups and downs. The thing is its becoming global, at the same time as the world globalises, christendom is globalising too. And yes the enemy is globalising and spirituality is polarising. Jesus is shining thru every little christian everywhere. This is Gods work and its a marvellous thing. So watch out big time church leaders and religious leaders you may feel big and important but it aint how God works at all. Mighty forests grow from tiny seeds. Remember the mustard seed, the tiniest of all seeds but from it grows the biggest and mightiest tree. (now I see why God had me read up on Gideon)..its the strong healthy seeds that produce and God uses... remember from 32,000 only 300 were selected to fight the battle, thats 0.009375% or just under 1 per 100. And when they fought the battle all they had to do was obey and trust then God destroyed the enemies for them.
