The kids and I just finished our yearly tradition of putting their handprints on the tree skirt and I sit in Awe of the amazing God that we serve. To see how far we have come and see Elis 5th set of prints on the skirt, when we were told there would never be any, I am shedding tears of joy. It has been an incredibly blessed day, while the kids were in school today I had Elis annual IEP meeting. I got to sit down with his teacher and all of his therapists from school and outline our goals for the next year of preschool. It absolutely blows my mind the progress he has made in such a short amount of time, even with all of the medical hurdles we have had to jump. Everyone was in agreement that Eli should be ready to go into mainstream classes when he starts kindergarten...UNBELIEVABLE...but with some adaptive equipment and assistive technology he will be able to handle traditional school classes. Our God is amazing and His mercies are infinite...to go from having a 0% chance of survival to the thought of mainstream schooling is nothing short of miraculous...my momma heart is overflowing and I am so excited for our future...beyond blessed ❤️❤️❤️
