The kids at church this Sunday shared with everyone how to see the true spirit in Christmas in different ways. With their soft voices not sure that everyone caught all that they said. So this is what they said along with God’s word. Seeing true Christmas ! Sometimes Christmas seems to be too much about the lights, parties, and gifts. There is a lot of symbolism in Christmas. And if you look real hard you can find God, Jesus or Christmas in everything. The kids will show you how to do this! “The stockings that are filled up with goodies represent how God fills us up with Joy and good things.” Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. “The Christmas tree is often times an Evergreen tree which stays green all the time, just like God’s Love that never goes away and is everlasting” The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you. “The star on the top of the tree reminds us of the bright star in the sky that led the wise men to find baby Jesus so they could meet Him and give him gifts.” Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.” “The candy canes have White and red stripes. The white stripes remind us of the purity of Jesus, perfect lamb of God. The red stripes remind us of the blood that Jesus shed for us. “ But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peacewas upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! “The cars and trucks reminds us that God is with us everywhere we go.” 5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” “A blanket reminds us of the comforting and warming feeling of the Holy Spirit.” He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you “The big Mickey mouse ears symbolizes the big ears we have to hear God’s voice.” The Lord will have compassion on you, 18 because you have listened to the voice of the LORD your God, to keep all His commandments to do what is right in the eyes of the LORD your God. “The baby doll reminds us of sweet baby Jesus” And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. “The gifts under the tree, represents the gift of salvation, God gave us in sending His son Jesus to us. The sweet candy inside is like the sweet grace of God given to us freely.” For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. “Santa represents a person who’s a giver, who gives and gives and expects nothing back to him.” He who has a generous eye will be blessed, For he gives of his bread to the poor. “The Play-do reminds us that God molds us like clay to be what he wants us to be.” But now, O LORD, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand. “The markers reminds us of how the scriptures should be written on our hearts to remember for all times.” give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. 21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; “The horns remind us of how we are to worship God with song, psalms and instruments.” With trumpets and the sound of a horn; Shout joyfully before the LORD, the King. “Sometimes there’s an angel on top of the tree which reminds us of when Gabriel appeared to Mary and told her she would bring forth God’s son. And the angels that appeared to the shepherds announcing the good news of Jesus being born. “ “The candles can represent the candles used on the menorah at Hanukah.” “The flame on the candles can remind us that Jesus is the light of the world, and of the light of Christ that is in us when we receive Him which we can share with other people.” “No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light. Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS.32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” 8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And behold,[b] an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: 14 “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” Let Christ dwell in your hearts through faith; you, being rooted and grounded in love “Amen”!!
