The kids have been quarreling over the littlest, dumbest stuff. I was fed up. I got out the beads and made a demonstration of what fighting does to a family. I taught myself a lesson in the process. As a family we are to be united as one with Christ, protected in solidarity and unity. Strength in numbers. The more a husband and wife fight the more separation takes place between them as well as between their marriage and God. This creates a breach in the walls of unity, thus opening the whole family up to attacks from Satan. Likewise, the more fighting between siblings, the more breaches in the walls, the more susceptible to attacks from Satan. If, as parents, we want to protect our family we must unite in Christ and find ways to lovingly work through our problems. The yellow bead is Christ. The black bead is husband and the green is wife. The round beads are the children. This lesson is for me. But, I thought Id share.
