The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will. Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart. (Proverbs 21:1, 2 ESV) And he said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God. (Luke 16:15 ESV) Admitting that we dont know, shows a pure heart. The unknown is hard for all of us: hints mans desire to know all as God does. As for us, oftentimes the best and most truthful answer is not knowing. And admitting it, to admit you dont know takes humility and courage. Its relieving to here a friend say they dont know why, because we all feel human again. We all, grow in trust, that we arent making stuff up to look good for our peers. The hardest and the best peace method is to be comfortable with only God knowing why, tell he shares it with you. That is loving someone for everything, not just what is shared, but what is not. Like trusting that God has your best interests in mind all the time.
