The lady below titled herself as Princess Fatima of Afghanistan who visited the USA in 1921-22 to seek diplomatic relations between Afghanistan and the US in 1921. The men in the photo are her sons who were present with her. Who this woman actually was is open to question since it is believed that she was not an official representative of Amanullahs Afghanistan. She found it difficult to meet Pres Roosevelt and instead fell for a scam since a confidence trickster who claimed to be a US naval officer said he would arrange her meeting with Pres Roosevelt. This kindly officer milked her for all her funds and left her penniless. Perhaps a modern morality tale for present day Afghanistan and her relations with the USA.
