The lament of the destruction of Jerusalem; when Gods prophets and priests failed to impute the sins of His people, and when they partake also in iniquities themselves, then their ruin and Jerusalems ruin was spread wide as the sea: The Lord was faithful in His fury, and poured out His fierce anger, when His priests fail to impute the sins of His people. Are not many priests behind the pulpit full of iniquity today, and do not impute the sins of Gods people? Cry and lament! For God is not well pleased with most of the priests with-in His church, for the many sins are being committed by His people; for many priests are failing to impart equity into His people: The spotless bridegroom of Christ! I feel that Gods fury and fierce anger is just around the corner; weep and cry out to the Lord, so you may secure the Lords mercy and escape His wrath on His Day of judgment. Lamentations 2:13-14 How shall I console you? To what shall I liken you, O daughter of Jerusalem? What shall I compare with you, that I may comfort you, O virgin daughter of Zion? For your ruin is spread wider than the sea; who can heal you? Your prophets have seen for you false and deceptive visions; the have not uncovered your iniquity, to bring back your captives, but have envisioned for you false prophecies and delusions. Lamentations 4:11-116 The Lord has fulfilled His fury, He has poured out His fierce anger. He kindled a fire in Zion, and it has devoured its foundations. The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy could enter the gates of Jerusalem: Because the sins of her prophets and the iniquities of her priests, who shed in her midst the blood of the just. They wandered blind in the streets; they have defiled themselves with blood, so that no one would touch their garments. They cried out to them, Go away, unclean! Go away, go away, do not touch us! When they fled and wandered, those among the nations said, They will no longer dwell here. The face of the Lord scattered them; He no longer regards them. The people do not respect the priests nor show favor to the elders. Malachi 2:5-7 My covenant was with him, one of life and peace, and I gave them to him, that he might fear Me; so he Feared Me and was reverent before My name. The law of truth was in his mouth, and injustice was not found on his lips. He walked with Me in peace and equity, and turned many away from iniquity. For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, and people should seek the law from His mouth; for He is a messenger of the Lord of hosts.
