The last Council Meeting of the Year voted $1.95 million dollars to helping the consenting process for the proposed Wellington Airport Runway Extension. On one hand I dont think The Airport Company did themselves justice in how they put their case ( No one from the Airport Company even bothered to show tonight at the Council meeting!), and on the other hand there was enough in the material received( although rather late in the piece! ) to vote the finance through. This will ensure we can carry the project to the next phase, There will be an opportunity for ratepayers and stakeholders to consult and be engaged in the process at various stages including The Long Term Plan. I am really interested in your views on the proposed Airport Runway Extension. Your feedback would be welcomed.
