The last couple of weeks have been busier than usual for the OMCC - TopicsExpress

The last couple of weeks have been busier than usual for the OMCC Committee. Having launched Cadwell, we were somewhat surprised at the speed that it sold out; 70 hours for 117 places is a record for us! We are sorry that some of you have missed out, but when market forces worked like they do, theres not a lot else we can do. The first-come, first-served option appears to be the fairest system. It might be reassurance that some might have to cancel, so a reserve list will be established in due course; Ill let you know as and when. I was asked if we could run a 2nd commercial event; however, the demands of the Inland Revenue and VAT registration preclude that, so itll just be one event per year. We were also busy badgering the Station for dates for the Airfield Riding Days. They have now been confirmed as: 19th April 19th July 20th September. I dont know yet when the April event will be opened up, so keep an eye on these comms; however, it could be as early as the first week of Feb. Weve also been doing some work trying to sort the Off-road programme. Landmarc, who administer the land, have been doing an excellent job messing us around, and both Bob Ruffles and I have lost sleep/hair in e process of trying to sort a coherent programme. It also didnt help that the excellent site at Bagshot has been removed from use due to damage to the site; hopefully itll be back on the programme late next year. However, we have recced another site in Bordon, which is predominately mud, which well alternate with Slab Common for this year. We are still looking for other sites, but there a not many available. Watch this space.... Finally, hopefully we’ll see a number of you at this weekend’s Christmas do, in North Warnborough…
