The last day in Monticello... It had rained my second day and the night before. By morning it was cloudy but seemed that it might clear up. Dave and I had some success at the Crossett light, and some Ovilus results from some Q and A sessions. Since it was my last day there Dave and I had Coffee and started assessing the days agenda. Marks mill was postponed due to weather and distance. John stopped by for one last visit and during his visit we chatted other ideas. One plan I insisted on was Dave and I getting photos of us together to punctuate what was a monumental visit. After John gave his goodbye, Dave and I started discussing the ideas. As always, any photos of myself on the net would have to keep my face concealed. Many of you now have an understanding on that so it wasnt an issue. I wanted it done with some paranormal style. So Dave and I grabbed a couple of mask, and Dave in his own creative way added the perfect touch to the mask I would wear. A single bandaid patched over one eye. We now set out to search for a location, to shoot what promised to be some creative photos. As we searched Dave began to give me the on foot pedestrians tour of Monticello. Monticello had some very unique houses. Each very large elegant and old. Of course this would include a passing view of the Allen house. At some point during the tour, Dave had noticed a very unique abandoned home. Though what really had caught our attention was the fact that this home was not only abandoned but had no front door it was completely open... Both of us truly believe and always say you should never go into place without permission or without knowing how safe it is but our curiosity had us walking towards this house and to be completely honest I think we both pretty much knew we were going to go in that house. So I turned on my recorder and my app while Dave started up the Ovilus. We figured while we were in there we were going to tap around and see if we could get any activity maybe even catch a few EVPs. I had no idea I was about to capture the best EVP Ive ever captured thus far. This recording starts out with Daves Ovilus starting up. You will hear the Ovilus say teacher which I would say, was a startup word. The first thing you hear me say as we enter the house Even when you tell yourself, you will resist the urge... At this point I would suggest you enhance the volume of what youre hearing because right after the urge remark you can hear the app say twenty. 0:27-0:49 Starting at 27 seconds to 49 seconds on the recorder you will hear whispering, this is not coming from Dave or myself. Plus there is the sound of a car passing outside, in the background. We had paused for just a moment near the doorless entry. 1:10 Around 1 minute and 10 seconds Dave starts to go up a stairwell that doesnt have full support. I let him do it but warn him. I had chosen to stay down stairs but as soon as I had decided that. Dave says, Hey come here. I responded jokingly, I had a feeling I was coming up. The following zipper sound you hear is me taking the mask out of my jacket cause I figured we were going to be taking the pictures soon. Dave was showing me a very large master bedroom where upon looking at it I say oh wow! 1:58 Around 1 minute and 58 seconds you hear a scooting sound coming from the front. The source of that sound was never investigated. Shortly after I mention mosquitoes and gnats. Almost at the exact moment after I say gnats. You hear a very quick and quiet whisper repeat gnats
