The last day of the season for RVA on Ice was this Monday, which led to an above average number of younger guests for lunch service that day. All the kids were well-behaved, the parents were well-relieved, and the compliments were well-received. I especially liked: Mom: I was just gonna take them to (national franchise chain) when we got back to the West End, but they love it here! Young Lady: This is my new favorite restaurant! Young Lady #2: Can we come back for dinner? and my personal favorite (if you know me, youll know why) Young Gentleman: We really hit the jackpot with this place! accompanied by one heck of a high-five. Sometimes in our quest for perfection as a fine dining restaurant, we lose sight of the other side of our self-declared genre. Were CASUAL FINE DINING, and that means we cant forget to have fun! So, the next time we feel a little stuffy, or you see a 525er not smiling, simply get our attention, and remind us how much we love this place. Smiles, jokes, and (in my case) high-fives go a long way! The smiles we wear at 525 At The Berry Burk are part of our uniform, and are always indicative of a good time. I hope yall have as much fun as we do! Brando opens the bar at 5 today, JJ, Chris, and the crew are at full speed in the kitchen already, and our floor team is finishing up last-minute preparations for another fun night at 525. I hope to see yall here! Tom
