The last thing I would have changed way back when would be sticking to one goal and one program to reach that goal for at least a year at a time, maybe longer. No program hopping and goal switching every month or two. If I knew then what I know now, I would have stuck to one program and just made the smallest tweak I could have to keep gaining and to keep my interest in the program. Yes sometimes they become dull and you see a million other advertisements out there so sometimes you feel you need a change. But that change shouldnt be the ideals of the program, or the program itself but maybe just look at one exercise, rest intervals, rep ranges, or tempo instead of changing programs. If you see a pro doing some program, you definitely should reconsider whether you need to do their program. THE PROGRAM THEY ARE ON NOW IS TYPICALLY NOT THE PROGRAM THAT GOT THEM TO WHERE THEY ARE...... AND......You are not where they are now, you are where they were 5-10 years ago and quite possibly longer. Thats probably a hard pill to swallow but basic is better until you build an appreciable level of strength or size.
