Today at Monterey high school, in very very hot conditions, The Trinity Christian Warrior varsity football team improved its record to 4-1 with a 36–20 win over previously undefeated East Paulo alto Phoenix Academy. On a day where our starting quarterback was not able to play, the entire team rallied around our backup quarterback, Caleb Hill, and showed why we are truly a team in every sense of the word. Our opponent had a lot of team speed and were huge. Their game plan was to run the ball down our throats, but instead, we changed up our normal game plan and ran the ball down theirs. It was really a difficult game from the outset and I was so proud of our team as we outfought, out thought, and thoroughly out conditioned a very good opponent. I am so blessed to see them with an outstanding coaching staff that really has developed this team and we have improved every week.. We will need to continue to develop and improve as this week, in a rare Thursday game, we take on a rival league for in Pinewood, in a game that will go a long way to decide who wins the championship... The game is 3:30 PM in Los Altos, and the coach has to start working very hard immediately, as we have a short week and the film session breakdowns need to begin right now.. A special shout out to a special friend on her birthday, and to my wonderful nephew Michael on his birthday.
