The last three conservatives that I tried to engage in a constructive debate about the issues of the day were all insufferable assholes. (Im not referring to any of the conservatives on my friend list, who are all good, polite, reasonable and relatively sane people.) I came away from all three feeling regret that Ill never get the time back that I spent meticulously laying out a reasoned argument for their consideration. They didnt deserve my time and effort. Its a sad state of affairs when the insults and the shouting starts immediately, and no meaningful communication is possible. We all need to take a lesson there. I certainly do.
