The last time I checked, it is illegal in the United State to discriminate against anyone on the basis of Age, Gender, Religion, Race, Ethnic Origin, etc. But it appears that the Hope and Change Obama promised America is throwing at least one of these sacred components under the bus. How much of Obama Care is real vs urban legend? The news has repeatedly reported that some $700 million would be shifted from Medicare funding to Obama Care...... One major concern is that Obama Care has been upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court as the law of the land. But the ramifications of its enforcement would indicate a reduction in health care treatment, to our older citizens on Medicare. We are the ones who have obeyed the law, paid Social Security and Medicare Taxes throughout our working careers etc. But now, to off set the transfer of funds.... Well here are some abbreviated tid bits that have been gleaned from several sources. I recently spoke with a good friend (RN) who is a nurse with 25 years experience at Singing River Hospital. She confirmed this to be true under the new Obama Care rules. If you have Medicare, are 76 years of age and have a heart attack, under this law you can not have an emergency room heart catherization, stints, etc. If you come down with cancer, you will not be treated, and the list goes on. Retired Judge Kithil of Marble Falls, TX has researched the 2,000 + pages of the Affordable Health Care Act HB 3200. He has outlined the most egregious pages of HB 3200. Here are a few of his findings: If you fall ill and go to the Emeergency Room, you must be admitted by your primary Physician in order for Medicare to pay for it! If you are admitted by an emergency room doctor it is treated as outpatient care where hospital costs are not covered. This is only the tip of the iceberg for Obama Care. Just wait and see what happens in 2014! YOU ARE NOT GOING TO LIKE THIS... At age 76 when you most need it most, you are not eligible for cancer treatment * see page 272 of the law. What Nancy Pelosi didnt want us to know until after the healthcare bill was passed. Remember she said, We have to pass the Bill so that we can see whats in it. Well, here it is: JUDGE KITHIL wrote: ** Page 50/section 152: The bill will provide insurance to all non-U.S. residents, even if they are here illegally. ** Page 58 and 59: The government will have real-time access to an individuals bank account and will have the authority to make electronic fund transfers from those accounts. *** Page 65/section 164: The plan will be subsidized (by the government) for all union members, union retirees and for community organizations (such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now - ACORN). Members of the Muslim Religion are expempted from the law. Selected U.S. Corporations are also expempted from participation. The law specifically states that this bill will not apply to members of Congress, the Senate nor members of the Executive Branch. Washingtons elilte (our representatives) have exempted themselves from the Law. ** Page 203/line 14-15: The fines imposed under this section will be treated as a tax. Collection of said taxes will be handled by the Internal Revenue Service with full confiscatory powers. ** Page 241 and 253: Doctors will all be paid the same regardless of specialty, and the government will set all doctors fees. This is what they do in Sweden, too. ** Page 272. section 1145: Cancer hospitals will ration care according to the patients age. ** Page 425, line 4-12: The government mandates advance-care planning consultations. Those on Social Security will be required to attend an end-of-life planning seminar every five years. (Death counseling) ** Page 429, line 13-25: The government will specify which doctors can write an end-of-life order. Can these and many other provisions be true? If so, I cant wait to participate in my first end of life counseling session..... Its not going to be a pleasant experience for the counselor.....Hell, Maybe its time for another 1776....
