The last time the Washington Redskins played the Minnesota Vikings on a Thursday night was on a November night in 1984. Then, the names were Joe Theismann, John Riggins and a group called the Hogs. In Minnesota, a Manning led the Vikings--Archie Manning was his name. Now, a new generation of stars have emerged. Names like Robert Griffith III and Alfred Morris for the Redskins and a star running back for the Minnesota Vikings, Adrian Peterson, led their teams to the playoffs last year. Both teams fell in the first round. Tonight, 29 years later, the two teams meet again on a Thursday night in a game both teams need to keep their seasons alive.
