The last two days have been spent in the Ampijoroa - Ankarafantsika NP. This place has spectacular scenery, with a variety of habitats and great Zebu steaks (pictured below in its living state). I took two boat trips on the sacred Lake Ravelobe, where I eventually got a pair of Madagascar Fish Eagle, and the only Humblots Heron present on the water body. 63 species for the trip, including 5 Vangas, 3 Couas and the only mesite in the area. 3 species of Chameleon, two frogs, plenty geckos and my first Madagascan rhomba (snake for the non vegans who have no idea what I am saying) - just wish I knew what have of these were! :) how for the 10 hour drive to Andasibe NP, to tackle the eastern forests...oh yes, Ampijoroa is home to 8 species of lemur - found them all! :P
