The latest from Sister Kyla De Vries: Hello family and friends!!!!!!!!! What an awesome week I had! We had exchanges and I stayed in my area and sister Mason went to a different area for the day. I was with sister Linford and we were an awesome team. we gave out three or four Book of Mormon. Oh i dont have 7 people with baptism anymore. We had to drop two for a little while, so we only have three now. I meet a lady that has a horse that is absolutely gorgeous. It has blue eye and is black and white. I forgot to take a picture of it but i will be going back over so I will get one. We also might have two new investigators soon! Oh could you please pray for a these two ladys that are in my ward. I dont know there name but they really need your prays. Here are some quotes for the week. Forgiveness should go hand in hand with love. In our families, as well as with our friends, there can be hurt feelings and disagreements. Again, it doesn’t really matter how small the issue was. It cannot and should not be left to canker, to fester, and ultimately to destroy. Blame keeps wounds open. Only forgiveness heals. (President Thomas S. Monson, Ensign, May 2014) “The Savior taught us to love not only our friends but also those who disagree with us—and even those who repudiate us. He said: For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? … And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? The Prophet Joseph Smith warned us to beware of self-righteousness and to enlarge our hearts toward all men and women until we feel to take them upon our shoulders. In the gospel of Jesus Christ, there is no place for ridicule, bullying, or bigotry.” (Elder Neil L. Andersen, Ensign, May 2014) “The unselfish give of themselves. These may be small gifts of charity that have a grand impact for good: a smile, a handshake, a hug, time spent in listening, a soft word of encouragement, or a gesture of caring. All these acts of kindness can change hearts and lives. When we take advantage of the unlimited opportunities to love and serve our fellowmen, including our [companion] and [fellow missionaries], our capacity to love God and to serve others will greatly increase.” (President Dieter F. Dieter F Uchtdorf orf, Ensign, May 2014) Oh you guys should really try to have the missionaries over and pray for missionary opportunities.
