The latest on the crazy woman who shot me, as published in The Progress in Clearfield: Woman accused of shooting nurse being evaluated Thursday, October 31, 2013 By Jeff Corcino Staff Writer An Osceola Mills woman accused of shooting a home health nurse in the head last December had her preliminary hearing continued until Jan. 29. Marlene Kenjora, 70, is charged with criminal attempt/criminal homicide, three counts of aggravated assault, discharge of a firearm into occupied structure, recklessly endangering another person and two counts of simple assault. She was scheduled to have her preliminary hearing at yesterdays session of Centralized Court before Magisterial District Judge Richard Ireland. According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Dec. 6, Kenjora shot a home health nurse in the head with a 22-caliber handgun. The home health nurse was at Kenjoras home in Osceola Mills when Kenjora became belligerent during a discussion over her prescription medications. The nurse called Clearfield/Jefferson County Mobile Crisis but Kenjora shot her while she was on the phone. The nurse then fled the scene and called for assistance at a nearby residence. The nurse was taken to Altoona Hospital where the bullet was removed from her head. The victim has since been released from the hospital and has recovered from her injuries. Police arrested Kenjora and while she was being taken away she repeatedly said, Im sorry I shot her, I did it, I just snapped. Kenjoras preliminary hearing was continued two times previously because a mental competency evaluation had not been completed and Ireland said he believes Kenjora is still committed in a state psychiatric institution. Kenjora is incarcerated on $1 million straight bail.
